Stronger Together

Join us for six free programs celebrating what connects us!

From January to April 2026, Stronger Together brings our community together across all four Indigo Shire Libraries. Through storytimes, workshops, creative sessions, and celebrations, we're exploring shared values, building lasting connections, and strengthening the bonds that unite us.

Discover meaningful experiences designed for all ages and backgrounds across our  Beechworth, Chiltern, Rutherglen, and Yackandandah libraries. Whether you're joining storytime with your little ones, exploring critical thinking in our workshops, getting creative with other young people, sharing your stories, or celebrating our natural environment together - there's a place for you here.

Each program helps build understanding, grow connections and relationships, and lay the groundwork for togetherness in times of stress. All programs are free and everyone is welcome.

About the Initiative

Stronger Together is part of a national community cohesion initiative. Indigo Shire Libraries is proud to be one of 125 libraries across Australia delivering programs that strengthen communities and build resilience.

This initiative is supported by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and the Department of Home Affairs' Office for Social Cohesion, with $9,900 in funding enabling us to develop new programs and expand current offerings to reach more people across the shire.

Our libraries are welcoming spaces where everyone belongs. Whether you're new to the area or a long-time resident, we invite you to participate in these programs and connect with your community.
