Community Satisfaction Survey

We are committed to constantly improving the services we provide to the community, and value feedback to help set us on the right path.

One way Indigo Shire Council collects feedback is through the annual Community Satisfaction Survey. This is a state-wide survey conducted across Victorian councils, which means our results can be benchmarked against similar councils and the state average, as well as tracked over time.

The survey is coordinated by Local Government Victoria on behalf of participating councils, with Klein currently appointed as the independent research provider responsible for running the survey and reporting results.

The survey measures eight core areas:

  1. Overall performance in the last 12 months
  2. Spending public funds on infrastructure and services in ways that benefit the community
  3. Community consultation and engagement
  4. Decisions made in the interest of the community
  5. Customer service (most recent contact)
  6. Overall direction of Council
  7. Waste management
  8. Condition of sealed local streets
