PAST EVENT - North East Battle of the Bands 2025

Event Success! -  What Happened?

Battle of the Bands events were held across the North East Region culminating a celebration of talented young musicians on Sunday 23 November at the Delatite Hotel Mansfield. Huge talent, big energy and nothing but good vibes was on display across the day with Raise the Fallen and Samara Bright taking out the top spots in the Band and Solo categories. Huge Congratulations to everyone who took the stage across all heats. See you again in 2026!

 

 

An annual celebration of young musicians from across North East Victoria. 

Each year North East bands, duos and soloists have the opportunity to showcase their talent across multiple events. The winner from each round progressing through to the Grand Final to battle it out for prizes and bragging rights. 

Whether you are keen to perform, support a friend or attend a great live music event, this is your opportunity to check out the best young performers from across the region. 

Expect original songs, crowd favourites, and unforgettable performances as emerging artists show off their skills and fight for the title. Events you won’t want to miss. Live music. Local talent. Epic vibes. Free entry.

All events are youth friendly All Ages events - no alcohol, drugs, vaping or smoking permitted.

Indigo Shire Council will provide transport to the Wangaratta and Mansfield Grand Final events.
If you need some extra support we are here to help. We can:

  • Answer questions about the events
  • Assist with the application forms
  • Connect you with a past performer or mentor to share some tips
  • Set up a jam session for you to meet other Indigo Shire performers and share feedback
  • Hear any other ideas you have that would help you feel confident and prepared for the Battle!

For those who want to watch:

Indigo Shire Council will provide transport to the Wangaratta Battle and Mansfield Grand Final events for anyone wanted to check out the incredible young talent from across the region. Battle of the Bands events are a great opportunity to check out free live music and enjoy a fun day out with friends. 

Transport will be offered from all Indigo Shire Council libraries, with departure times to be advised.
