North East Skate Park Series

Shining a spotlight on the amazing up and coming skaters, scooter-riders and BMXers across North East Victoria.

The North East Skate Park Series (NESPS) are free community-based grass-roots events focused on embracing skate park culture, bringing the community together and shining a spotlight on the amazing up and coming skaters, scooter-riders and BMXers. 
As well as showcasing talent, the league also creates opportunities for young people to gain experiential practical training in skate park event management.  

Held every year across North-East Victoria and facilitated by the incredibly talented team from Al's Skate Co these events are not to be missed. 

Skating isn't for you?

We know that skating, scooting and riding isn't everyone's idea of fun! No problem, at Indigo Shire events we'll bring along our youth lounge so that you can sit back and watch the incredibly talented people we have in our region. Then we add in some creative activities and it's a fun day out for everyone! So grab your friends and come along.

North East Skate Park Series - Competition Dates

Skate Park competitions are held across the North-East. Competitors are welcome to attend any or all locations to build their skills, confidence and show off their stuff! All competitors go into the raffle to win incredible prizes. 

Skate Park events are fun and friendly community events to be enjoyed by all.

Past Event Success - Skate & Scoot Workshops

Indigo Shire Council is committed to ensuring that all ages and abilities are provided with opportunities to build their skills and confidence to enable them to have fun and safely use our skate parks - and join the NESPS competitions should they choose to! 

All ages and abilities are encouraged to attend these workshops, from beginners that have never stepped on a skateboard, to those wanting to practice their tricks for upcoming competitions, everyone is supported to have a go!

200 Community members came along on a beautiful sunny day to celebrate the beautiful new mural at Beechworth Skate Park.

Approximately 50 people joined us for a great afternoon of learning to Skate and Scoot.
Beginners through to competition level skaters learnt and perfected new skills. The Grip Art painting was also hugely popular with everyone getting involved.

All events are youth friendly, all ages events. Alcohol, drugs, smoking and vaping is not permitted.
