First Aid Training

Free First Aid Training to enable young people to build practical skills to use in their community

In 2025 the Indigo Shire Youth Advisory Group identified the need for young people to access practical skills training to build their confidence and capacity. One particular area they asked for was First Aid Training to support them to take on employment and volunteer opportunities in their community - and build the confidence to help out their mates if they ever needed to!

In response, Indigo Shire Council will support those aged 14-25 to access First Aid qualifications by providing free places at training delivered at any Neighbourhood House in the shire. 

How do I access free training?

  • Quercus Beechworth Neighbourhood House
• Email us to let us know the date you would like to attend and we will arrange to pay your course fee. 
• Dates or times on offer don't suit you? If you find another training course that better suits your schedule, feel free to email us the details to see if we can assist with training fees.
