Experiences during early years can have long lasting impacts on a child’s development. We understand that suitable resources, and early intervention are vital to give children the best start in life.
Our Early Years Strategy prioritises the needs of children (aged 0 to 12 years) and their families to ensure the appropriate services, infrastructure and enabling environments are present to create a thriving early years community, now and into the future.
Our Early Years Strategy is made up of three strategic priority areas including: strengthening families and children's environments, community spaces and places and learning and development.
This strategy was adopted by Council on 25 February, 2020.
