Rutherglen Taste of Arts Prize

An opportunity for young creatives to showcase their talent. 

Indigo Shire Council is pleased to sponsor the Rutherglen Taste of Arts Prize Youth Awards. This annual event is an amazing opportunity for young creatives, aged 12-18 to showcase their talents across a variety of mediums – Painting, Mixed Media, Work on Paper, 3D Artworks, or Photography.

The Details

• The Youth Prizes consist of 4 prizes of $250 each
• Each person can submit a maximum of 2 entries
• Each entry cost $5
• Maximum size is 1m x 1.2m
• Entries close Saturday 8 February

What else is available?

• We are keen to help young people explore different artforms and support them to submit artwork to the Art Prize. Keep an eye out for workshops to help you do this!
  • Graffiti Art Workshops in Rutherglen and Tangambalanga in December

• Join us at the Taste of Art Prize Gala Opening on Friday 6 March at 6.30pm. Email us to let us know you're interested
• Attend the Exhibit in Rutherglen from 7th to 15th March 2026, 10am-4pm daily
