Here you'll find funded kindergarten programs for children to attend in the two years before school.
Fifteen hours of funded 3-year-old kindergarten has been available to Indigo residents since the start of 2021. Indigo Shire is in the 2027 roll out of Pre-Prep for 4-year-olds, kindergarten programs offering between 16 and 20 hours per week from 2027. Priority groups from 2026.

Kindergarten Infrastructure and Services Plan (KISP)
The KISP allows the Department of Education and Indigo Shire to share information regarding the current supply (or capacity) and demand for funded kindergarten, forecast demand for three and four-year-old kindergarten, and expectations about how demand growth will be accommodated. The updated KISP outlines the demand that will be required for the Pre-Prep Roll out. The pre-prep roll out is a Victorian Government Reform.
