Rutherglen Recreation Reserve Master Plan

Rutherglen Recreation Reserve and Public Park is a significant open space at the heart of the township, supporting a wide range of sport, recreation, cultural and community activities.

Home to numerous clubs, community groups and public facilities - including a swimming pool, golf course, and wetlands - the park plays a vital role in local wellbeing, tourism, and environmental sustainability.

The master plan provides a 10-15 year framework to guide future improvements and investment at the reserve. Developed by Indigo Shire Council in partnership with the Committee of Management, on behalf of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), it outlines priorities to enhance participation, meet community needs, and ensure the sustainable management of this valued public space.
