Under our local laws, you will need a permit if you want to organise any of the below activities.

If you are unsure what permit/s you need to apply for, please contact our Compliance Officer prior to submitting an application.

Displaying advertising signs, goods for sale & outdoor eating areas

Busking or creating pavement art

Holding an arts and craft market

Burning off in a residential area

Conducting a street collection or raffle

Consuming alcohol in a public place

Hosting a circus or carnival event

Droving livestock (not grazing)

Horse drawn vehicles or animal rides at an event

Grazing livestock on a road reserve

Keeping a horse in a residential area

Keeping bees

Keeping more than four different types of animals

Keeping poultry in a residential area

Parking a heavy vehicle in a residential zone

Permanent Stock Crossings

Placing a skip or portable toilet system on a road reserve

Placing a charitable collection bin on Council land

Apply for a permit to place a charitable collection bin on Council land here.

Conducting roadside street trading

Holding a street stall or kiosk

Temporarily closing a road for a street party, festival or procession

Using a loudspeaker in a public place

Using a municipal reserve for an event
