Amendments to the Local Government (Governance and Integrity) Regulations 2020 were made in October 2024 to implement various governance reforms across the local government sector.
One such reform is the introduction of a Model Councillor Code of Conduct. This document is prescribed by the Regulations, and Councillors promise to abide by this document when they take the Oath of Office.
