Volunteers Week Film Screening
Join us in celebrating National Volunteers Week.
To say thank you and recognise the important contribution volunteers give to our communities we’re celebrating with film screenings and light dinner throughout the Indigo Shire region.
It’s an opportunity to bring together volunteers from all different sectors of the community to thank them and highlight the value of their time and effort. This event welcomes all people from the community, both volunteers and general public who wish to celebrate volunteers they know and appreciate.
The Film:
The Volunteers (2024) is a feature documentary exploring the surprising connections between two mountain rescue organizations on opposite sides of the world. Take a journey with historian Mark S. Weiner from America to Austria and back again as he considers the origins and meaning of their work. Both groups have grown from a strong sense of place ... because before you can save a stranger, you first must love your home.
Important Information:
All ages welcome.
Dinner and refreshments included.
Please register to book your spot.
The initiative is a partnership between Indigo Shire Council, Indigo North Health, Beechworth Health, Alpine Health, Quercus Neighbourhood House, Yackandandah Neighbourhood House and Chiltern Neighbourhood House.
