Barnawartha Recreation Reserve is a key open space supporting sport, recreation, and community connection in the township.
Home to local sporting clubs and the community centre, the reserve plays an important role in promoting health, wellbeing, and social engagement. Its facilities support both formal club activities and informal use by residents.
The master plan provides a 10-15 year framework to guide future improvements and investment at the reserve. Developed by Indigo Shire Council in partnership with the Committee of Management, on behalf of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), it outlines priorities to enhance participation, meet community needs, and ensure the sustainable management of this valued public space.
