Chiltern Athenaeum Trust Committee

The role of this committee is to manage and coordinate the use of the Chiltern Athenaeum.


This Committee's functions and responsibilities are:

  1. The effective management of the Athenaeum and its facilities on behalf of the Council, and for the benefit of the Chiltern community.
  2. To maintain appropriate accounting procedures and policies, and reports in a manner determined by Council when the need arises.
  3. To actively promote and publicise the Athenaeum and its facilities to maximise the benefits to the local community and visitors.  (Members of the Athenaeum Trust will conduct walking tours of Chiltern to promote its historic nature.
  4. To actively pursue funding for the development of the facility.
