The Victorian Government has placed restrictions on events and gatherings of people due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Public Events are required to adhere to the Victorian Governments Public Events Framework. Event organisers are encouraged to first consult the coronavirus website for more information on what defines and public event. The site also outlays the requirements for these events to be considered COVIDSafe.

Funding for events affected by Coronavirus restrictions
Victorian Events Support Package
Event organisers and hosts as well as suppliers, producers and cinema businesses will benefit from grants under a new Victorian Government support package for the events industry.
This fund is for events cancelled between 11:59pm on 27 May 2021 and 11:59pm on 2 September 2021 because of COVID-19 restrictions.
- Live Performance Support Program (Presenters) Round Two
Providing grants of $7000 or $5000 for one event (depending on losses or unrecoverable costs), and a further $5000 for a second event to presenters of eligible live performance events.
- Live Performance Support Program (Suppliers) Round Two
Providing either $200 or $500 per event (depending on the level of loss or unrecoverable costs incurred) to suppliers of goods and services to live performance events, including musicians and performers for eligible cancelled events. They can apply for support for up to 20 events through Round One and Round Two of the program.
