The Book Valet
You can get access to Indigo Shire Libraries through ‘The Book Valet' - a service which allows residents to access books, DVDs, magazines, audio books and even kids craft activities from the library collection.
Here’s how
1.Request your books
Complete the form below to register for the Book Valet service. You can then call, email us, order your books through our online catalogue, or have a Librarian select the books for you.
Please note: borrowing from the Libraries Victoria network is suspended at this time, so you will only be able to access books on the shelf at Indigo Shire Libraries. Don’t worry, we still have over 27,000 items for you to choose from. You can access DVD’s, picture books, fiction, non fiction and audio books, just to name a few!
If you have already registered for the Book Valet service, you do not need to do so again.
2. Choose your delivery method
Pick up at your local branch (social distancing restrictions apply) or have the books delivered to you.
Not a Library Member? No problem. You can either join online or contact us and we can sign you up. Membership is free and there are no late fines.

Don’t see your town on the list? Get in touch and we’ll do our best to deliver to you.
The fine print
Deliveries will take place on a monthly basis. This is so we can allow the most people access to the service. Keep this in mind when you are requesting books.
Deliveries will be placed at the front door and we will ring, knock or toot the horn to let you know we have delivered. While we love a chat, your safety and ours is paramount, so please keep to the social distancing regulations. If there is anything special we need to know about delivering to your house, please let us know!
Feedback is important. So we can continue to select and deliver the books you love, please tell us what you thought of the books – love them or loathe them.
To return your books, use the out of hours return chute at your local branch (when you are out doing your shopping is a great time to drop off books). If you would like us to collect them when we make your next delivery, leave them on the doorstep and let us know we are collecting books as well. If you are unwell, please don’t return your books. Hold onto them and contact us to renew the items for you.
