Tangambalanga Active Park
Thank you everyone who had input into the scope and feasibility report to determine design elements for a new active park for Tangambalanga. Community consultation has helped us develop a concept for the park which may include a community garden, walking and cycling loops incorporating interactive activity components, BMX infrastructure and public amenities.
A total of approximately 85 community members of the Kiewa and Tangambalanga communities had direct discussion and input into the feasibility study. Council will progress with the following as a result of this consultation:
- Investigate detailed designs and funding for a pump track and roller skating track into a new community park at the new community reserve on the corner of Jackman Drive and Watts Way, Tangambalanga.
- Investigate activation initiatives to enhance wheel-based participation particularly for girls in Tangambalanga.
- Undertake additional community consultation on future designs prior to implementation.
