Maintenance Worker - Team Leader (Working for Victoria)

This position with the Indigo Shire Council is created using funding under the Working for Victoria (W4V) Project Fund established by the Victorian State Government. The Fund is designed to help Victorian workers who have been affected during the COVID19 Pandemic to find new opportunities in critical roles supporting the community. The position only exists if it is supported by this Fund. 

We are looking for effective and efficient Maintenance Worker to work as part of Indigo's Operations Team that delivers routine maintenance, repairs and construction services for associated infrastructure, parks and gardens, recreational reserves and open spaces, including small civil projects. This is a 6 month role. 

Key responsibilities include brushcutting and mowing, weeding, planting, painting and general cleaning. You will apply trade skills and knowledge to plan, estimate for and carry out maintenance and construction work on Council Assets and have demonstrated experience in supervising work teams.
