The survey closes 5pm on Monday 26 August 2019.
What would it look like?
A model that we are currently investigating would involve families completing a standard online form on which they provide contact information and state which kinder they would prefer their child/ren to go to.
This information would be stored in one central location and each kinder would be notified of families who would like to enrol in their kinder program.
Kinders would then send out enrolment forms and allocate places to families. Variations of this scheme have already been introduced into more than 50% of Councils throughout Victoria by the State Government. It is designed to simplify the registration process, help Councils understand kindergarten building needs and make sure that all children across the Shire (including vulnerable children) can access kinder.
