Participants noted the steady population growth and discussion of planning issues. (housing on 20 acre blocks / business options etc) Possible opportunity for mini structure plan. Some discussion about "is this what Sandy Creek wants?" So a community vision process would be important prior to any thoughts of a structure plan.
Council Response: Noted for consideration within the framework for the assessment and analysis of future township placemaking plans.
Discussion abou the number of people doing a daily commute to Albury/Wodonga. This increase in traffic, the increasing development in Kiewa/Tangam is reducing speed limits and increading frustration of commuters. Recognition that this is a VicRoads issue but Council can play a role in this. Possibly in designing new subdivisions and exit provisions.
