1. Topic: Recreation Reserve

Funds for development of:
- netball courts and change rooms
- local finals played here
- multi-use at present
- no major funding received for 20 years.
Keep in contact with rec officer Sven.

Council Response: Recreation Team will be in contact with Committee of Management to facilitate further masterplanning of the site.

2. Topic: Roads

Intersection - Sandy Creek turnoff needs turning lane - dangerous. Can we follow up with Vin and VicRoads.
Follow up from meeting. Needs to be circulated. Close the loop. Refer to previous meeting.

Council Response: Request to be referred to Vic Roads Traffic Liaison Committee

3. Topic: Kergunyah Hall - Dangerous Intersection & Community Forums

Kergunyah Hall - fix the variable levels. Waiting for outcome of Pick my Project.
Dangerous Intersection - Kiewa Valley Highway and Kergunyah Road. Can we write to the new head of VicRoads?
Community Forums no longer being held in Kergunyah

Council Response: Kergunyah Hall was unsuccessful in "Pick My Project" grant. Kergunyah Road intersection has been referred to Traffic Liaison Committee.

 Invitation sent to Councillors to attend the 100 year anniversary of Armistice WW1

5. Topic: Recreation Reserve

Clubrooms

Recent resurface will not sustain for longer term, need new court at some point soon

Council Response: Recreation Team will be in contact with Committee of Management to facilitate further master planning of the site.

6. Topic: Upper Sandy Creek Recreation

Difficult to secure funds due to lack of ownership by various agencies, eg ISC, DELWP, NECMA

Council Response: Recreation Team will contact Committee of Management to explore issue further.

7. Topic:Wright Lane

Wright Lane, off McGrath Lane, needs gravel over 1km. Washaways. Contacted by Council today.  Culvert and drainage improvements done in 2017.

Council Response: Limited access road, maintained on an as needs basis. Road inspected as fit for purpose for required standard of road.

8. Topic: Sandy Creek Road

Petition to seal Sandy Creek Road at least to the next bus stop - 20 households , school busses, recreation, trail riders, safety issue, wombat deaths, speedy. Suggesteds advisory speed limit sign - dusk to dawn in bitumen section. No wildlife signs - should be one.          

Council Response: Request for sealing of road to be considered with other other roads in the shire with regards to priority. Advisory signage requests to be assessed by Council traffic engineer.

9. Topic: Schultz Lane

Schultz Lane, off Sandy Creek Road, almost up to the reservoir- half of it resheeted 12 months ago. Drainage not done on the road, but the off shoots were done. Graded right down to bedrock. Gravel work should be done only after drainage is fixed. Needs a site visit by council staff.

Council Response: Site as been inspected by Council staff. Some roadside drainage and cut off  maintenance has been undertaken.  Some minor resheeting to be carried out in 2017/18 and more significant resheeting programmed for 2018/19

10. Topic:Sandy Creek Hall

Airconditioning needed in Sandy Creek Hall.

Council Response: Community Development team has been alerted and will be in contact should a suitable grant arise.

11. Topic: Sandy Creek Road

Council Response: Road to be inspected by Council staff.

12. Topic: Sandy Creek Road

Sandy Creek Road T intersection has loose gravel in centre. This has been there for some time.

Council Response: To be referred to Vic roads for action.

13. Topic: Lockharts Gap Road Intersection with Sandy Creek Road

Suggestion for enhancement at Lockhart's Gap Road intersection with Sandy Creek Road. Traffic turning right into Upper Sandy Creek Road (from Lockhart's Gap Road) A left hand slip lane would improve safety.

Council Response: Referred to Vic Roads Traffic Liaison committee.

14. Topic: Sandy Creek Hall

Sandy Creek Hall needs a kitchen revamp. Not quite scoped out yet but this should be on the radar. Suggestion to get in touch once project is scoped and costed.

Council Response: Community Development team has been alerted and will also be in contact should a suitable grant arise.

15. Topic: Intersection at five ways

Request for light over the intersection. Safety issue - particulary in poor weather, rain, fog etc.

Council Response: Referred to Vic Roads Traffic Liaison committee.

16. Topic: Planning

Participants noted the steady population growth and discussion of planning issues. (housing on 20 acre blocks / business options etc) Possible opportunity for mini structure plan. Some discussion about "is this what Sandy Creek wants?" So a community vision process would be important prior to any thoughts of a structure plan.

Council Response: Noted for consideration within the framework for the assessment and analysis of  future township placemaking plans.

17. Topic: Traffic

 Discussion abou the number of people doing a daily commute to Albury/Wodonga. This increase in traffic, the increasing development in Kiewa/Tangam is reducing speed limits and increading frustration of commuters. Recognition that this is a VicRoads issue but Council can play a role in  this. Possibly in designing new subdivisions and exit provisions.

Council Response: These traffic engineering design considerations are undertaken during subdivision development phase

18. Topic: Tennis Courts

Upgrade Lake Kerferd track, easily lost, accessibility, signage & Erosion of soil around trees near bowls club. Reported 18 months ago - demarcation issue - Beechworth Council and NERWA.
