We are now inviting submissions on the draft Industrial Land Feasibility Assessment report and officer recommendations (contained as an addenda to the report).

The assessment report has been prepared to help us understand the supply and demand parameters of industrial land across the Shire in more detail and the officer recommendations provide Council with potential proactive short to medium term actions to initiate industrial land activation within Indigo Shire.

Principally, the study provides an economic modelling tool to inform the industrial land component for future Strategic Land Planning projects.

The need for this feasibility assessment was identified as part of the Indigo Shire Economic Development Strategy 2018/19 – 2022/23, which provides direction for Indigo Shire to capitalise on growth opportunities to strengthen our local economy and industrial land availability and utilisation are an area of economic development interest across the Shire.
