This consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone that took the time to share valuable feedback. We are now collating all of the data and will keep you updated as to our next steps.
With more and more people choosing to relocate to our beautiful Shire and our historic towns attracting an increasing number of visitors, we need to ensure that there’s plenty of available spaces for people to park.
We’ve identified that Beechworth and Yackandandah in particular have a number of parking challenges, which we plan to address through the development of new parking strategies.
This will include reviewing parking zones and restrictions, opportunities to increase parking capacity, directional signage and accessibility.
We’ve engaged traffic and transport experts to help develop the strategies, but we first want to hear from the community.
Have your say
We are seeking your input to help identify the existing parking issues in both towns and potential opportunities for improvement.
We've developed two surveys, one for Beechworth and one for Yackandandah.
For those who prefer to chat face-to-face, we will also be holding two drop-in sessions. Our consultants will be on site at the front of the following locations:
- Beechworth – Saturday 13 November, 10am – 12pm at Beechworth Memorial Hall – Ford Street
- Yackandandah – Sunday 14 November, 10am – 12pm at Yackandandah Library – High Street
