Portsea Camp has announced two January camps for 2022.

Operating for over 70 years and with a mission to run camps for rurally isolated, disadvantaged and special needs children who ‘need a break’ with a wide range of recreational activities, the Portsea Camp is one of Australia’s premier children’s camps.

The January dates are:

Camp 1 - Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 January 2022 - aimed at 8-12 years old.

Camp 2 - Monday 10 to Friday 14 January 2022 - aimed at 8-12 years old.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19, the camp and application process looks different this year.

  • Portsea is not offering transport to and from the camp like in previous years, however Council is excited to be partnering with the City of Wodonga and is offering limited spaces on a bus that will pick up from Chiltern on Monday 10 January to attend camp 2. Spaces are limited! If you are interested please contact Jess Johnston on 1300 365 003. You will still need to book your spot for the camp directly through Portsea Camp's online booking portal.
  • Alternatively you can arrange drop off and pick up directly to the camp.
  • The cost is $500 per camper. Applications can be made for either camp directly through the Portsea Camp website (not via Council like in previous years)

More details for the 2022 camps can be found on the Portsea Camp website and you can book your place by heading to their online booking portal.
