What's On

1. Storytime in the Park

Our libraries have been missing our regular Storytimes, but now we're ready to start them up again! Come along to help your child foster a love of reading, develop crucial language skills and nurture social connections.

While the weather is fine, we are taking extra precautions and holding our sessions outside in the park. Bring a rug or a chair and make yourselves comfortable.

Sessions will run for approximately 30 minutes and may include stories, songs, rhymes, music, movement and craft.

Registration is essential for all adults and children 12 months and older.  Please book your session below:

Beechworth Storytime in the park, Mondays and Fridays at 10.00am

Rutherglen Storytime in the park, Wednesdays at 10.00am

Yackandandah Storytime in the park, Thursdays at 9.30am

Chiltern Storytime in the park, Fridays at 11.00am

Booking Information:

Masks are currently required for all adults, and children over 12 years old if the session is moved indoors due to inclement weather

Do not attend the program if you have been unwell, or have been in close contact with someone else who is unwell or waiting for results of a Coronavirus test.

Social distancing must be maintained (1.5m distance away from people you don't live with).

A limited number of people can be booked for each event. We ask that you cancel your booking if you can no longer attend so another person can join in.

2. Grab and Go Storytime Sessions

While our Storytime programing sessions in the Library are on hold, we have been hard at work making it possible for you to have Storytime at home each week!

Each week we choose a story from Storybox Library – our online Storytime resource.  We then make up a craft bag which you can pick up (or get delivered through the Book Valet Service) so you have everything you need to do a craft activity related to the story at home.

To find out what our Book of the Week is visit our Facebook Page or ask at your local library branch.
