Community Comeback Project

The Community Comeback Project, funded by our Bushfire Recovery Grant, supports community-driven events and projects that encourage our communities to come back together, reconnect and enjoy the people and places that make Indigo Shire special.

All events are to be led by community for the community, so local voices are required to ensure each event reflects its township and community.

Planning for these events is recommencing now that COVID restrictions on public events are beginning to ease.  Working groups are overseeing the planning and delivery of these events, but more people are always welcome (and needed) in order to see the projects succeed.

Community Comeback Project Event Details: 

  • Wahgunyah -
    • Community Fair - Sunday 5 June, Recreation Reserve Wahgunyah
    • Moonlight Movies - Postponed until Spring (Movies featured: Sing 2 - screening 6pm, RAMS - screening 8pm)
  • Rutherglen - Christmas in July - 24 July 2022, Apex Park
