When it comes to community, Yackandandah Automotive Services knows how important it is to give back.

The business was established by Matt and Nicole Boyd seven years ago and their purpose-built workshop is situated on Turntable Lane, named for the location of the original turntable on the Beechworth to Yackandandah line.

Matt and Nicole moved back to the area 12 years ago from the Hawkesbury area of NSW.

Nicole, who was born in the Yackandandah Bush Nursing Hospital, says that returning to Yackandandah is “like coming home, although a lot busier than I remember”.

“We love living here,” Matt says.

“The open spaces, country feel, community, it’s a great place to raise a family.”

Yackandandah Automotive Services is an active participant in the local community, providing sponsorship for the bowls club, football and netball club, golf club and supporting local primary schools at Osbornes Flat and Yackandandah.

They employ three qualified mechanics and have also put two local boys through apprenticeships.

Matt and Nicole say they feel it is important to be able to give back to the community in these ways, as offering great customer service.

“We deliver on what we promise when we say that service is our priority and we have built up a loyal clientele of local and some not so local customers,” Matt says.

“We have also helped our fair share of travellers, including former politician Tony Windsor, and many musicians over the years. It’s not unusual to recieve CDs from little known musicians in appreciation for getting them back on the road.”

The business provides quality mechanical repairs and servicing for all makes and models and can take care of your new car warranty servicing. Matt specialises in air-conditioning and the business also caters for those needing tyres, batteries, spare parts, 4WD accessories and trailer repairs.
