Funding

Business Support Fund

Grants of $5000 for businesses who have been affected by the second Stage 3 Lockdown in regional Victoria. Funding can be used for:

  • meeting business costs, including utilities, salaries or rent
  • seeking financial, legal or other advice to support business continuity planning
  • developing the business through marketing and communications activities
  • any other supporting activities related to the operation of the business.

Small Business Bushfire Support Grant

Grants of $10,000 are available for businesses that had a downturn in businesses due to the January 2020 bushfires.
Funding can be used for:

  • meeting business costs, including utilities, salaries and rent;
  • seeking financial advice to support the recovery of the business;
  • developing the business through marketing and communications activities or
  • improvements to make the business more resilient to future disasters.

JobKeeper

The JobKeeper payment scheme is designed to support employers and their employees who have lost work due to the COVID19 pandemic. It will help to keep more Australians employed and support businesses during this time.
More information on the JobKeeper payment and the latest changes regarding adding employees can be found on the ATO website.

COVIDSafe business

As we continue along the roadmap towards COVID normal, changes to operations will need to be acted and recorded  by businesses in a COVID Safe Plan. 

Business Victoria have created a template for a business COVID Safe plan for you to follow. It is important to include how you are going to communicate the plan to staff, volunteers and customers.

Tourism North East - Digital Skill Sessions

Tourism North East offer one-on-one and group digital skill development sessions on a variety of topics to enhance operators understanding of digital applications and their use within a tourism business. 

Developed by their Digital Skills Manager, Fiona Morris, the group sessions cover common digital platforms and how they can support your business marketing and operations.

Buy From Beechworth 

An all in one e-commerce platform that enables retail businesses to sell online quickly whilst a part of an online retail campaign.

When choosing to sell online, it can be difficult to select the right platform for your business and even more so to make traction in the busy online retail space.

Buy from Beechworth is part of the Buy from the North East initiative, started in response to the COVID19 pandemic to promote the retails options as one campaign first to locals then to a state wide audience.
