Budget 2020/21
Indigo Shire Council's 2020/21 Budget was adopted on Tuesday 28 July 2020.
The 2020/21 budget outlines a total operating income of $36.837 million with total expenditure of $31.264 million, including a $12.545 million capital works program.
Budget Highlights for 2020/21
- $12.545 million in capital works including upgrades to roads, drainage and footpaths
- $1.3 million to parks, open space and recreational facilities
- $750,000 for commencement os works for the Chiltern Community Hub ($2.5 million grant to build hub)
- $456,000 for road resealing across Indigo Shire
- $120,000 for bridge renewal across Indigo Shire
The budget also includes $293,000 for new initiatives including:
- $30,000 for the Rutherglen Place Making Plan
- $140,000 for election costs
- $30,000 for Beechworth Pool Feasibility Study
- $30,000 towards Burke Museum / Historic Precinct Masterplan
- $15,000 towards Council Pan 2021-2025 & Municipal Public Health Plan
- $10,000 for Councillor Induction Costs
- $20,000 for Introduction to Climate Change
- $8,000 towards the enterprise bargaining negotiations
- $10,000 for Library Programming & Outreach
