The Beechworth Visitor Information Centre is getting a mini makeover in August and during this time, will temporarily relocate to the Beechworth Town Hall.
The refresh will allow for display improvement for local artisan craft and produce and provide a new self-service station for those who need internet access.
“Visitor needs and the way staff work in the space has changed over the years so we are tweaking the layout to provide visitors with more space and better flow and updating some of the retail furniture." Visitor Information Centre Manager Jen Allan said.
“It’s been seven years since the centre was refurbished and over half a million visitors have passed through the doors since then, so it’s in need of a little spruce up." Ms Allan said.
To ensure visitors and residents can still access local information, staff services and the much-loved historic building while the work takes place, the Visitor Information Centre will temporarily relocate into the adjoining Town Hall from the first week in August to the first week of September 2022.
The Visitor Information Centre is open seven days a week from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
