Kiewa-Tangambalanga, Sandy Creek and Kergunyah

participants at the community forum

Just over 20 people attended our combined Kiewa, Tangambalanga, Sandy Creek and Kergunyah Community Forum on Tuesday 5 July at the Coulston Park Community Centre.

The forum was also attended by representatives from North East Water who gave an update on the current challenges and future plans for a $30M upgrade of the water system at Kiewa-Tangambalanga.

Our Director of Infrastructure, Ian Ellett, provided an update on projects currently underway as well as those recently completed. Questions submitted via our pre-forum online form were also addressed.

Additional Feedback

Councillors and senior staff addressed a number of questions after the meeting concluded and the following were submitted for Council consideration.

  • Not enough consideration for elderly people in the current development for the town
  • Concentrate planning in central parts of town rather than strip planning on the outskirts
  • Move open space development alongside all of the town planning
