Why have my rates gone up?

Document Actions
Information regarding the rate rise

Your rates may have gone up for several reasons.  You may have made some improvements to your property such as building a shed or garage.  Your land may have been rated as vacant land previously and been revalued following the completion of a dwelling.  Or you may find that due to an increase in services such as the addition of garbage and recycle collection, your new rates notice has increased on last years amount.

Whatever the case may be, if you need assistance in understanding the charges on your rates notice, or need more explanation as to why there has been an increase, our Revenue Department is more than happy to answer your queries.  Contact the Department on (03) 5728 8000.
