There are several ways you can pay your rates for the Indigo Shire Council.  We use the DEFT payment system.

By Mail:  Please make cheques payable to 'Indigo Shire Council'.  Detach payment slip and mail with payment to:

Deft Payment Systems, GPO Box 2174T, MELBOURNE  VIC 3001

Please note that receipts will not be issued for mailed payments.  Please do not pin or staple your cheque to the notice when returning the payment.

Australia Post:  Please present page intact at any Australia Post Office.  Payments may be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.  Please make cheques payable to 'Indigo Shire Council'.

BPay:  Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society to make payment directly from your cheque, savings or credit account.  You will be required to enter the Biller Code and BPAY reference number as detailed on the front of your notice.

Internet:  To process a payment over the internet, using your MasterCard or Visa, click here.  You will be required to enter the BPAY reference number as detailed on the front of your notice.

Direct Debit:  If you wish to make payments by direct debit please contact the rates office on 1300 365 003.

Phone:  Call Indigo Shire Council on 1300 276 468 anytime to pay with MasterCard or Visa.

Or you can visit one of our friendly Customer Service Centres located at Beechworth, Yackandandah, Chiltern or the Rutherglen Resource Centre.

NEWSFLASH: The office at Beechworth now has EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities available for your convenience.
