There is a large committment to tourism by the Council, and with Council's support Indigo Shire plays host to numerous festivals and events throughout the year.
Council employs a Tourism & Economic Development Resource Officer to oversee the delivery of key Shire events. A further commitment to this area of tourism is the annual administration of the Indigo Tourism Board's Festival & Event Sponsorship Program. The Indigo Tourism Board supports regional tourism festivals and events by way of direct sponsorship, in kind support and marketing assistance.
