Strategic Planning

In order to achieve fair, orderly and safe planning which is centered around sustainable development principles, policy making must be based on strategic research and background study projects. Such projects undertaken by the Council’s strategic planning department are central to the planning process and include planning scheme reviews, the preparation of structure plans, urban design frameworks, planning scheme amendments and land use strategies just to highlight a few.
