Calling All Film-makers!

Got a short film that needs an audience? Indigo Shire and Film Victoria are presenting a series of outdoor cinema events showcasing the work of local film makers.

Animation, documentary, music, fantastic stories any budget or format—all will be considered for inclusion!

Charlie and Boots, directed by Dean Murphy.  Rated MA.
They're on the road to somewhere. A father and son who travel from Victoria to Cape York to fulfill their lifelong ambition to fish off Australia's northern tip.

Mao’s Last Dancer, directed by Bruce Beresford. Rated PG.
A drama based on the autobiography by Li Cunxin. At the age of 11, Li was plucked from a poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to study ballet. In 1979, during a cultural exchange to Texas, he fell in love with an American woman. Two years later, he managed to defect and went on to perform as a principal dancer for the Houston Ballet and as a principal artist with the Australian Ballet.

This film contains adult concepts including mental illness and suicide, parental discretion is advised.
Mary and Max, directed by Adam Elliot.  Rated PG. 
A simple tale of pen-friendship between two very different people; Mary Dinkle, living in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia and New Yorker Max Horovitz. Spanning 20 years and 2 continents, Mary and Max's friendship survives much more than the average diet of life's ups and downs.

All films start at dusk.

Entry by gold coin donation.  Bring a picnic and a rug and enjoy the talents of your local community!

Film makers who are interested in this project are encouraged to submit their work to us as soon as possible.  Please be sure to label all disks with your contact details and to include all credits.  We will contact you to let you know if your film will be shown.
