Beechworth gets set for a Celtic invasion as Festival returns Friday 9 – Sunday 11 Nov

A traditional haggis ceremony followed by a sumptuous three-course Celtic Dinner from 7pm on Friday 9 November will mark the official start of one of North-East Victoria’s most popular drawcards, the 2007 Beechworth Celtic Festival.

Burke Museum on the hunt for hidden collections as Cabinet of Curiosities comes to town

Beechworth’s Burke Museum is on a treasure hunt for weird and wonderful local collections to showcase in the Cabinet of Curiosities, on loan from the National Museum of Australia from January to June next year as part of a national tour.

Management Plan for Beechworth Historic Park

Environment Minister Gavin Jennings released the new management plan for Beechworth Historic Park during the visit by the State Cabinet last week.

Beechworth to host tourism workshop

A workshop will be held in Beechworth on December 14 as part of a major program of assessing areas of Australia that are suited to international marketing.
