Where can I pay my rates?

There are a number of different ways you can pay your rates.

Council's Beechworth Office accepts payments of all bills by cash payment or via Australia Post, DEFT, B-Pay, EFTPOS, Credit Cards and BPoint.

Call our Customer Service Staff who will be happy to assist you with any enquiries relating to payment of rates and charges.

There are several ways you can pay your rates for Indigo Shire Council. We use the DEFT payment system.

BPoint: Go to the Home Page and click on the BPoint icon to make your payment.

By mail: Please make cheques payable to Indigo Shire Council. Detach payment slip and mail with payment to: Deft Payment Systems, GPO Box 2174T, Melbourne VIC 3001. Please note that receipts will not be issued for mailed payments. Please do not pin or staple your cheque to the notice when returning the payment.

Australia Post: Please present your rates page intact at any Australia Post Office. Payments may be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS. Please make cheques payable to Indigo Shire Council.

BPay: Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society to make a payment directly from your cheque, savings or credit account. You will be required to enter the Biller Code and BPAY reference number as detailed on the front of your rates notice.

Internet: To process a payment over the internet, using your MasterCard or Visa, click here. You will be required to enter the BPAY reference number as detailed on the front of your notice.

Direct Debit: If you wish to make payments by direct debit please contact the rates office on 1300 365 003 or 03 5728 8000.

Phone: Call Indigo Shire Council to pay with MasterCard or Visa.

Visit: Come to one of our Customer Service Centres in Beechworth, Yackandandah, Chiltern or Rutherglen and pay over the counter.
