Your rates notice - extension of time to pay

The time for Indigo Shire residents to pay their first rates instalment for 2017-18 has been extended to the end of October.

Indigo Shire Mayor Cr Jenny O’Connor said annual rates notices, which ratepayers should have received in the mail a couple of weeks ago, were late and had arrived only in the past week.

“This was due to an unforeseen issue at the printing stage. We apologise to everyone for this. And because of this delay in receiving your rates notice, Council has extended the time to pay the first instalment until 31 October,” she said.

“So although this late delivery was unforeseen and out of Council’s control, the extension of time to pay until 31 October should makes things easier

“Normally we give people two to three weeks to pay their rates instalments and this extension takes that out to five weeks.”
