Frock up for Afternoon Tea with Rosalie Ham

Rosalie Ham

Author Rosalie Ham is coming to Beechworth on Saturday 11 February to talk about her book The Dressmaker and the feature film it inspired starring Kate Winslett, Liam Hemsworth and Judy Davis.

The free event runs from 2.30-3.30pm, and bookings are essential. Go to to reserve your place, or phone the Beechworth Library on 03 5728 8043.

Interest has been so strong that the library has booked the adjoining Memorial Hall to cater for the numbers expected to attend, and in keeping with the book's theme of 1950s haute couture, attendees are encouraged to "frock up" and bring some colour and glamour to the gathering.

Rosalie is visiting Indigo Shire Libraries as part of the State Library of Victoria's High Road to Reading program and will also speak at the Writers, Readers and Poets Festival dinner in Beechworth on Saturday night.

The author will be available for book signings. If you don't own a copy of the book, Beechworth Books will have some for sale on the afternoon. Light refreshments will be served
