Youth awards

Do you know a young person who achieves great things? Someone you are really proud of?

To celebrate and recognise the amazing young people who live, work and engage in the Indigo Shire, a shire wide youth awards ceremony will be held during National Youth Week in April.

We invite you to nominate young people between 11 - 25 years old who you believe should be recognised for there achievements. It could be in the sporting arena, the arts, academia, volunteering, mentoring, leadership or even caring for a grandparent, or challenging themselves to learn a new skill.

To celebrate National Youth Week (April 1 - 10 2011) the Indigo Shire will be hosting art exhibitions in each community across the shire.

The theme for the exhibitions is Our Place and we are inviting young people to interpret this theme and submit work for a public exhibition in their community. Our Place could feature local identities, architecture, places and stories. It is up to the artist.
