Community grants

Indigo Shire Council’s 2013/2014 Community Grants Program

 Applications are now being invited under Council’s 2013/2014 Community Grants Program. The aim of the Program is to financially assist community organisations in meeting the needs of their communities.

Applications will be assessed under the following categories:

  • Community Grants – General
  • Community Grants – Arts & Cultural Initiatives
  • Community Grants – Youth Initiatives Grants

Potential applicants should contact Council to discuss the suitability of their proposed project prior to an application being submitted.

Scope of the 2013/2014 Program

As with previous years, it is anticipated that grants for successful applications will be in the order of about $200 up to a maximum of about $4,000.

 Successful applications in the past include projects for:

Purchase of chairs

Arts Sculpture

Purchase of water tank

Safety fencing

Family Fun Day

Costs to establish new committee

Skills development program

Boat Trailer for Rowing Club

Acoustic panels for hall

Linemarking netball court

However, all applications that meet the criteria in the guidelines will be considered under the Program.

Applications for funding under the 2013/2014 Community Grants Program will open on Wednesday 1st May, 2013 and close at 5pm on Friday 7 June 2013.
